Opinion on the band Widespread Panic?

Didn't know Herring had joined. I enjoy his work in Jazz Is Dead with the great drummer Billy Cobham. I've see Panic twice and it was ok, but I was there for NRBQ as their opening act. It's nice that Panic always include a band/bands deserving exposure during tours.
I bet their concerts are a bit livelier with Jimmy in the lineup. Panic are some of the nicest people I've met.
