Should I go to a concert alone?

I'm 17, nearly 18 and I just found out that one of my favourite artists, Kacey Musgraves is performing near where I live in the autumn. She's American but not very big in the UK yet. I want to get tickets but the problem is that I have no friends who want to come as they haven't heard of her/or don't like country music. I would imagine the concert would be very mellow as she's a singer-songwriter, its not like a heavy metal concert with a mosh pit.

I'm considering going alone, what's your view and advice on this? I still want to go really badly.

Thanks,

Louise

Just go. You might make friends there. Kacey Musgraves is awesome you'll have a good time with or without someone with you!

I understand exactly how you feel! I lived in the UK for about 5 years (from when I was 8-13) and all my friends would be like 'Country music? You mean like people with hats on?'.

So obviously I had no friends to go with because everyone was into pop or rock or heavy metal. Personally, I would go by myself. Kacey Musgraves is really awesome, and not something you would like to miss!

I got made fun of a lot for listening to country music but now Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum are starting to get popular in the UK and all I can say is: 'I was country, when country wasn't cool.'

Take care y'all and God Bless!

If you really want to see this artist, then GO!

You will regret not going. But you won't regret going alone.

There's a saying in life that we only regret things we didn't do that we wished we had done.

I've been to concerts alone and had a great time. I went to see Brad Paisley on my own and ended up next to a very nice couple. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

I've also been to a Taylor Swift concert on my own and ended up in a group of 3 of us!! That was amazing. I will NEVER forget that day as long as I live.

I see nothing wrong with it, especially if you get seats.

I went to a florida Georgia line concert by myself 3 months after I turned 17, and it was all one big pit. bunch of pushing and shoving. but it was fun.

I would definitely go alone. no big deal. but maybe convince a friend to go with you by buying them their ticket. LOL

Personal experience, I'd not want to go alone. You need someone to share your experience with, someone to hug and scream in the face, and take some photos with.

I have serious anxiety when I'm alone, but if not for that I'd totally go. :)
