I like my guy friend?

I am a 16 girl and he is 17, we go to the same high school, and he always says how he never wants to date in high school and how dating is stupid. He is not gay, he just wants to wait until college to date because he is afraid to get hurt when they breakup. I really really really like him, and have for a while and wont hurt him, but I am afraid that if I ask him out he will say no and we will be awkward after. I really like him and want to be his girlfriend I don't know what to do...

At this point in your life... It may feel like the end of the world to lose this guy if he rejects you... BUT... it's really unlikely you'll still know him over the next 5-10 yrs anyways. Life happens.

    Ask him.

    Don't wait.

Waiting till college is a great thing.. You'd be amazed at how many hott and unbelievable guys you'll meet!! In the meantime hangout with him for special occasions and whatnot but don't underestimate the difference in high school guys and college guys

You can either wait until college to respect what he wants or just let him know how you feel.

You probably shouldn't ask him out, how about just letting him know that you like him, but if you really feel you want to ask him out, you go girl and ask :)

It's really up to you, is giving a chance at asking him out and letting him know how you feel about him worth the risk of it being awkward? I'd say yeah only because you at least got to let him know how you feel :)
