Who was the first man to come in Jesus’ name to fulfil Jesus’ Prophecy in Matthew 24:5?

Maybe like a Jim Jones or David Koresh or those Flying saucer suicides: there are many in recent years.

Mathew 24:

5 For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, ' and will deceive many.

Be careful how you read this...

Notice the first part says.... IN MY NAME.

So we are talking about those who describe themselves as Christians.

Now notice the second part... I am THE Christ.

This is someone who is claiming LORDSHIP over others, something which Christian brothers and sisters are NEVER supposed to do.

Finally, there is... AND WILL DECEIVE MANY.

From a Scriptural perspective, deceit is where HUMAN REASONING is allowed to over-ride the authority of the written word of God.

So you're looking for a CHRISTIAN who LORDS it over others and refuses to accept that the Bible is the absolute authority when it comes to revealed TRUTH...

every person in the media and out of it that has said they are. what they have not realised is that John 5 v 43 and 6 v 48 is on earth with proof no one can copy.
