I applaud the non sin idea but how can he possibly refuse to judge the paedophile priests and their actions?
So the cover up continues and yet more children will be at risk!
How can that possibly be Christian?
An Italian magazine printed evidence that the prelate whom Francis chose to be his "eyes and ears" in the Vatican bank had lived virtually publicly with his gay lover in Uruguay. But the Pope said he had investigated it and found no such evidence!
Seems whist he is going to continue to turn a blind eye to it the Italian press is becoming disenchanted with him already!
Common decency and the protection of children must be a priority or it will destroy the Catholic church!.

Concerning professed Christians, Paul wrote: “There will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth.” -- 2 Timothy 4:3, 4.
Religious leaders tickle people’s ears by condoning practices that appeal to wrong desires, such as sex outside of marriage, and most recently homosexuality. The Bible clearly states that those who approve of such things and those who practice them “will not inherit God’s kingdom.” -- 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10; Romans 1:24-32.

He didn't. That would not be a good way of putting it, as what is meant by 'gayness' is ambiguous.
"Speaking to reporters on a flight back from Brazil, he reaffirmed the Roman Catholic Church's position that homosexual acts were sinful, but homosexual orientation was not."
That is clearer, and does not involve the rather silly position of feelings about which one can do nothing being sinful.

What the pope says has no bearing on who goes to heaven or who doesn't.
What Jesus says is all that matters!
The Pope and the Catholic church have conformed to this world and have
forsaken Christ Jesus.
It's all about money and members now.

Stop shouting. Typing in all-caps is a violation of Internet etiquette.
I think the Pope is simply somewhat more liberal and progressive than his predecessors.
However, you may be sure that he expects gay and straight priests alike to be chaste -- not to have sex.

He wants us all to get along. Humanization.
The bad priests are perverts not gays.

Being homosexual is not a sin. It never has been. Acting on those homosexual tendencies is what is sinful. Gay people are called to live a chaste life. Check your facts before you believe certain things, thank you.

Not really what he said but yeah they need to get a leash on this guy before he tries to make the church look more tolerant of stuff.

He didn't.
Not even close. All he said was "who am I to judge." Which is the very Catholic stance on this subject.

He didn't say it wasen't a sin, he just said it wasen't his place to judge.
And he's right. The Bible teaches not to judge, and thats what the pope has said he will not do.
