Post Sweets in envelope via royal mail 2nd class?

is that allowed, as i am starting my new business, i will be posting sweets to customers. I would like to know for item under 1kg can i post them via royal mail? and is ok just to put a stamp on it or would i need to purchase special delivery etc, or would it have to be through a courier service. currently i am offering free postage and packaging on all my items.

    You can use Royal Mail but make sure you pack them securely and pay the correct postage for the size (not just weight) of your packages.

    you can, but a stamp will be no use, not enough postage.
