Why do people consider being gay "normal"?

They have anal sex with other men and try to make society ok with it. Which we aren't.

Why do people consider being left-handed "normal"?

I mean, it doesn't matter how you look at it, it is by no means normal (conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural.)

statistically normal:

For something to be statistically normal it needs to have a majority. Less than 5% of the country is left-handed making it far less normal and considerably "abnormal".

Biological Normality:

If left-handedness is considered normal because it occasionally occurs in the animal kingdom, then this does not support it being normal since it is practiced by a small percent of animal populations which is below the norm.

If, however, an appeal is made to the fact that left-handedness occurs within animals regardless of the percentage of the occurrence, then this has problems because it implies that whatever occurs in the animal kingdom is normal for us. Then wouldn't this mean that it is normal to eat your young, to eat other creatures alive, to lie in wait to ambush and kill, sniff other human being's rear ends, eat placentas, barf up food to give to your young, and eat your own feces?

Evolution:

Finally it is obviously not genetically normal since the gene technically does not exist due to natural selection. If a "lefty gene" were to exist it would be considered a genetic mutation. Being left-handed means you are a product of flawed genetic mutations at best, clearly not normal...

So it raises the question, what exactly about be left-handed makes you "normal"?

(I don't "hate lefties" I love everyone, i just dont like it when people are wrong or offend the dignity of others)

In your own definition that you provided it says that "normal" can be defined as "natural"... and being that just about every species on the planet has homosexuality, I would say that it is pretty damn natural... Case closed. Moving on...

BTW regarding "genetic mutations", whether or not homosexuality falls in the category, EVERYONE has some sort of genetic mutation... whether it be physical, mental, etc... Technically white-skinned people would fall under a genetic mutation category according to your explanation because they are prone to sun burns and therefore flawed in natural selection... You can use this example for just about ANYTHING... So your argument has no basis and is very bias... Thing deeper buddy.

To act any other way would be abnormal or unnatural for me.

It is normal for a percentage of humans to be gay.

Kinsey found that it is normal for any human population to be 10% homosexual. Regardless of how accurate his findings were, that doesn't mean it is normal to be gay, it means it is normal to have gay people. Obviously there are going to be variations on populations, but it is still 'normal' to find gay people in any population.

Another way of saying it is that it is not normal for an individual to be gay, but it is for people to be gay.
