what are these rocks vol. 2?

found those rocks ate kourion beach, Limassol, Cyprus. I was wondering if you guys know what causes those holes on the rocks (also are they limestone?)

    There's two main carbonate formations in Cyprus: the Pakhna and the Lefkara formation. Pakhna is hemipelagic, has a higher terrigenous content and is often capped by crumply bioherm debris.

    Lefkara is older, more pelagic, its lower members bear diagenetic chert and are very turbiditic.

    Your samples look more reefal to be honest. Its exact classification would be chalk/marly chalk in field lingo, which is the same as carbonate mudstone (Dunelm classification scheme).

    The holes are made from boring mollusks which use an acid secretion to bore into the rock. Before I saw the picture I thought the question would be about the pinhead-sized holes that are prevalent in these formations made by foraminifera, but the holes on your sample are too big for that, so definitely some mollusk.

    hard to tell, without feeling the texture & density. Chalk, carbonate, dolostone...? Probably some softer sedimentary marine rock.
