Just got a new dog, (9 months) please help. 10 points?

I dont mind the spelling...

Keep the dog and the cat near each other but prevent that they attack each other.

After a while the cat and the dog are forced to accept that attacking each other is not going to help so they dont try to do anything.

Also important: jeep the food seperated, make sure that they dont eat each others food because most times the dog will eat all the food and the cat gets angry.

Usually a cat doesn't really like dogs, because of what a dog can do to a cat (like kill it)! It can take time for a cat to know that the dog won't hurt him/her so it will ease its way closer and start to rub itself against the body of a dog and soon the cat will start snugglin up right next to the dog!!

It could be they will never get on ,but make sure your dog is on a collar and leash and introduce them that way .

Keep the cat in one room so the dog cant get to the cat .It will take time if it is going to work .

some times after a while the cat and dog might become friends but it doesn't always work like that because the cat might try to kill ur dog all the time but just give them time and see if they improve or get worse

My dogs and cats used to hate each other you just have to separate them or make them like each other like if one growls at the cat say "NO"!
