My boyfriend has been stressed out lately and yesterday all he wanted to do on his day off was go to the library and read Time Magazine and some business magazines.
Do you think he would like it if I bought him a bunch of Time and business magazines for him to read?

That would be a good idea, he might like it. Then he won't have to go to the library to read them. He could either relax at home or take them outside and just relax and read them whenever/wherever :)

It would be a kind gesture, but maybe the reason he went to the library was to get away for a while.
