Why is Yahoo email performing so poorly?
In the last several months every action I try to take only works randomly. I have tried with Safari and Firefox, and both experience the same reactions.
VERY slow response and sometimes screen remains blank forever! I have had this problem at work, at home and anywhere else I access my account. I have had the account close to 15 years but I am seriously considering abandoning Yahoo altogether.
Can someone assure me that they are actually trying to fix this? Every time the "improve" their site, this type of nonsense starts, but this is the worst!
Can anyone recommend another email service? I have Gmail, but I don't love it.

Having same problem: Problem has lasted over a month and is really bad this week to the point it's getting hard to continue using until it is better.
I've also had my email account for over 15 years. It is not working correctly. It is slow, doesn't load emails or sends email slowly. Acts like it is loading a email and it comes up blank when done. Sometimes I get the codes and follow instructions and it still is slow or errors out. Different browsers, computers or connections does not matter. Please look into this yahoo. My wife has a different email for about 5 years now with no problems using any computer, browser or connection.

People are wring here of issues, many of us who respond are not having any issues ourselves.
If you think of how many users there are, then the number having issues is small (we don't hear from them!)
That does not help though if you are one of those experiencing the slow down :-(
I am on here often, different issues occur then they are resolved, so hopefully yours will soon too.
There are server issues today even here on answers, so maybe that is what is causing your slowdown.
You could check you are using the most up to date version of your browser, and IMO Firefox is best for Yahoo.
You could also try clearing your cache and cookies.
I hope something I wrote will help.
