Has the Internet become a "super highway" for racially-motivated bullying?

(Abe) Foxman (co-author of the new book "Viral Hate: Containing its Spread on the Internet) said many good things have come out of the Internet, but it has a dark underbelly & one step would be to work with Internet providers to help stamp out the abuse.

The internet is so large and broad that it has become many things to many different people. It is not the case that ALL of the internet has become a super highway for racially motivated bullying, but that, among many other kinds of bullying, certainly exists. People interested in expressing hate of all kinds certainly have many outlets on the internet. People interested in expressing kindness and love have just as many outlets. All one has to do is take a look at the "reviews" of controversial books on Amazon, for instance, to see that many people are taking advantage of the opportunity to spew hate (often who have never even read the book). Then again, one could just look at some of the questions and answers on Yahoo! Answers and see the very same thing. Good and bad. Hatred and kindness. They're both there.
