Why is there no outcry over the fact the Russia will prosecute gays at the 2014 Olympics?
I would have expected an attempt at a boycott.

There is a boycott, it is being done by the gay pride community here in America by dumping vodka. I doubt the boycott will have any effect on the Russians. They don't care about the gay pride community here in America trying to dictate on how Russia should conduct their domestic policy.
Plus I am pretty sure Russia will allow gay athletes to participate in the games, so long as they don't break any national/international law. Besides, Blacks participated in the 1936 Olympics.
