How do I sanitize a jacuzzi hot tub?

Bought new house and tub is pretty disgusting. And because the water inside the jets is there from previous homeowner, we'd like to REALLY clean and sanitize the jets and water etc. How can we best do that?

    Fill the tub, start it.

    Add a cup of muratic acid (couple dollars at any home supply), run for a minute,

    Then pour a Clorox (chlorine bleach) in slowly, until you can barely smell the fumes (approx. 1 pint) Don't overdo it.

    and run for 30 minutes.

    Drain and rinse.

    If it's really caked with deposits,

    repeat the process, one more time.
