i have a problem with my clone tool on my adobe 4.0 program it does not clone/copy" completely. help?
i consider myself an expert of sorts with this program having photo shoppedliterallyy thousands of pictures..i had the adobe 4.0 for ell over 10 years and use it regularly..with one click i could thoroughly andcompletelyy clone an eyeball or face or tree etc. etc...theclonedd copy would have all the resolution of the original with just one click.. HOWEVER about 2 weeks ago , ALL AT ONCE it began cloning only a faint image of the original which sit atop the existing photo...
example : in the past if i were to attempt to clone an eyeball over a small rock , with just one click of the mouse the rock would be replaced completely with the eyeball..NOW when iattemptt thisproceduree a faint eyeball sits over the rock....i know its nothing i'm doing different//i know how to use the tool..something in the mechanics of the tol has changed..how can i get it back to working properly? thank...thats all the info i have...

After you select the Clone Stamp Tool, look at the Option Bar and check that both Flow and Opacity are set to 100%. Also check that your Blend Mode is set to Normal.
If this does not solve your problem, Reset the tool by RIGHT clicking the Clone Stamp button on the OPTION BAR and choose "Reset Tool" from the flyout menu.
If that does not solve it, you might need to reset your Preferences FIle. Search for that with Google or your fav search engine to find the Adobe web page for Version 4 - it's been too long since I used such an old version.
