What is a good T.V. show for a thirteen-year-old?
Okay, so, I have a problem. I really want to find a really good T.V. show that is action-pact but not horrific where before I go to sleep, I think there is a zombie coming up my stairs in the middle of the night. I DO NOT LIKE ZOMBIES....THEY ARE VERY FREAKY...WAY way....freaky! lol!! ;D I watch the show Revolution. It's a survival show about the world losing all electricity. I love it, but my mom thinks I shouldn't watch it because it tends to get a little too blood and gore filled? I mean...I really like the whole survival concept...but I don't know what kind of show that is out there for me that is age-appropriate but something still intense and exciting to watch. At this age...you can't find the "in between" things. For example: music, clothes, T.V. shows, books and so on. So, if anyone has any suggestions for what survival-type, forest, adventure, T.V. i should watch, PLEASE RESPOND TO MY QUESTION!!! THANK YOU!! :)

Also, please do not answer my question in an immature way. The person who said "Barney" I have lost any respect towards you. So please, put some thought into my question, I really would like an answer, a sincere answer.
Thank you! :)

Since you said you like "Revolution", I do watch that show. You like survival type of series, so here is some you might like
Under the Dome - A mysterious dome come down and trap a small town of people inside, they have to deal with different problems like lack of water, electricity and all that. To my knowledge, it wasn't extremely gory, but it does have ONE scene in which a cow is cut in half. But simply because the dome came down. IF you're allowed to watch PG13 movies like Iron Man, The Dark Knight, then I don't see that scene as gory since survival movies like 2012, Independence Days all are like that...
Siberia - it looks like a reality show "Survival" but it's scripted. A bunch of contestants being dropped off a jungle in Siberia. They all thought they are there to win money, but then weird things start to happen and they are struggling to survive without outside help because it's in a very remote area in Siberia.
The Fosters - this series is on ABC Family. It's a family type drama in which a family trying to raise 5 kids. They deal with teenage problems like being bullied at school, getting good grades etc. I would watch this with my children.
