Frotbite on my finger....?
Okay, i was being careless today and sprayed compressed air on my finger fir 5 seconds or so. It was totally numb so I ran it under warm water and now few hours later it is very tender feels like and burning sensation. It's not discolored or turning black but it is very painful. I applied some petroleum jelly on it and was wondering if I should go to the ER or not.

If anything at all, it could be a minor frostbite, a so called frostnip, which is the first degree of frostbite. Some pain is to be expected. If you still feel the afflicted area and the skin hasn't been discolored (other than slightly red) or hardened, you should be just fine. If this "very painful" feeling doesn't go away you should seek medical care. But since it's been 4 days now, you should have figured.
