LifeStation a good idea for elderly grandparent?

My grandfather fell down the stairs the other day. He escaped with a few bumps and bruises, but he could have seriously hurt himself, and so I'm looking into medical alert systems. Everything I've read online indicates that LifeStation is a good way to go, but I'd like to hear from someone who has it.

My grandfather lives with me, and I work from home. I'd only need something capable of letting me know if he's fallen while I'm out running errands or something.

Update:

My grandfather isn't capable of using a cell phone. He can't even dial a regular phone.

I suppose I need to clarify. I'm not asking if the alert system is a good idea. I'm only asking if people have used LifeStation specifically.

Check with the hospitals in your area, some of them have what is called "lifeline".

Perhaps a good idea, however, some people feel that the same thing can be accomplished with a cell phone by calling 911 or a relative if they have an emergency.
