How hard is AIT for a 25B in the army?

I have taken computer engineering/networking classes in high school and I liked it. I signed up to be a 25b and was wondering how hard is the AIT and course work for this mos? Also, my bf will be reclassed to this as well but he is national guard and I will be going active could it be possible to get the same AIT station mine is ft Gordon and idk about his. If we can't then could he live on base with me? Thank you!

There is a good bit of book work that must be completed. If you are familiar with computers, and can do well in technical classes, you will not have any trouble.

Your boyfriend may end up taking the short course, which can be held in numerous places around the US. This is only available to individuals who are reclassing (and is traditionally only used by the national guard and reserves, though it can be used by active duty reclasses).

You will be sent to Ft Gordon for your initial entry training. Your boy friend could end up there, it depends on what his state decides to do.

He will not be able to live with you, as you will be classified as an IET soldier and will be required to stay in the barracks.

It's difficult to say "how hard" 25B training is, because this is like asking someone how hard math is. If you ask someone who is very good at math, they will tell you it's easy, but if you ask someone who struggles with math, they will tell you it's hard, so how can someone answer a question like this?

The question about whether or not he can live with you is much easier. While you are attending Advanced Individual Training, he will not be able to live with you on the base.
