What song should I sing for my school musical audition?
My middle school is doing Beauty and the Beast but I don't want to sing a song from that. I'm a soprano btw.

Off hand I can't think of any good Soprano songs (Give me a break, I'm tired), but I can think of advise for picking a song. What ever you do, DO NOT pick a song that the director is likely to know. A good example is "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from the Wizard of Oz. EVERYONE knows that song, so when they hear it, they compare you to Judy Garland and only notice the ways in which your version doesn't sound like hers. That's why I always go with a relatively unknown show like The Last Five Years (Although they just finished filming a movie for it with Anna Kendrick, so I'm going to need to pick a new go to show for auditions soon :/) because then the director is hearing the song for the first time coming from you and not Sherie Rene Scott
