i never heard of basic training being 12 weeks in the army. so it sounds like you will have 2 weeks leave for xmas. good luck. after basic you have the oportunity to take i think 10 days of leave before going to ait.

You will go to an in-processing battalion before you simply go to your training unit. I went to general at feet. Jackson, so I cannot communicate for other bases or warranty it's going to be the same, however they don't cut up you up, most of the time. Keep almost the persons you spend these first couple days with easing the butterflies with and building trust, get on the identical bus, transfer as a group, get in formation collectively, etc or else you'll be able to come to be in separate platoons and not bunk together. Helps to have some thing like a buddy, you are going to make pals with most any individual there but those first few days are important. I acquired chosen to hold luggage so I got cut up up, i noticed how foremost it will have been to remain together. If you're a loner and consider it won't subject, that'll change, I was a loner too but that ethical help is ample to need to see the team prevail, now not be successful considering that you fear failure or getting "smoked" as you'll come to recognize it.
