Windows 8 keeps sending me to the app store every 30 seconds, how do I make it stop?
Because it's stupid windows 8, there's no x or anything (that I can see anyway) to close it out. Instead I just hit the "windows" button, I guess it is. That takes me to the start up screen and then I go back to my home screen and do whatever I'm doing. Then 30 seconds later the app store pops up again. I don't want to update/buy any damn apps, I don't use them, I don't know what they are, it's not worth waiting for them to update, slowing down my computer. How do I make it stop? Also, I'm 99% sure it's the real windows ap store, not spyware, although I guess there's a chance it is that. I think it's just crappy windows 8 though,
I killed it in the task manager but it just keeps opening up again.

I'm guessing that you have a laptop. What's happening is that you're triggering the app switching gesture. New in Windows 8 are gestures controls for those who have touch screens and trackpads. First, you'll want to learn how to use Windows 8. It seems that you don't know how to close apps. Here's a great video to get you started.

The app switching gesture is triggered when you swipe in from the left side of your trackpad. To disable it, Win + I → Change PC settings → General → Turn off "When I swipe from the left edge, switch directly to my most recent app."
Hope that helps,

Kill the task, then delete the EXE. (If there is one)
If there is none, upgrade to Windows 7. Cheaper, fewer bugs, actually useful...
Can we say, "an actual OPERATING system"?
Windows 8 is just Vista 2.0 - "Lets just ignore what the customers want, a new GUI will keep them buying our s**t"
[EDIT - Dominic below has it.]
