What's the best way to get over a guy who has broken my heart?

We had a great, albeit short, relationship for a time. We said and acted upon our love for each other. Then just fifteen days past our six--month anniversary, he tells me that he is "over-the-moon" in love with another guy. A MUCH older guy at that! That was twelve weeks ago. We were going to remain friends and see each other occasionally. The romantic/sexual relationship was over or at least on hold indefinitely. I did something irrational, and I felt compelled to tell him about it. In doing so, he told me that he could no longer see me. Part of his final contact with me, via a text message, was: "...please don't try to contact me again."

So my heart is broken. I'm seeing a grief counselor, but how else can I get over him. Our final break up was only six weeks ago.

For every bad thing that happens there will be a least some positives to draw from what has happened. Write a list of the positives you have now that you're single. Just spend as much time in solitude as you need and when you feel emotionally ready then try to find new, true love.

Tht must me really rough. I think that it is best to move on. Try talking to other people. Don't try anything serious. Just something to get your mind off of him.

Delete his phone number and destroy anything that reminds you of him.
It helps  you move on faster.
