How much time are you giving these other foods before you are deeming them unsuitable? Sometimes it takes time to make a dietary adjustment and if these other foods are high in salt, then that might be your culprit. Chicken is almost always packed with added sodium so people think chicken is a cause for digestive issues or allergies, when actually it's the salt. I don't know what mince is beyond being chopped but if it's different meats together, then it's likely to be high in salt and or sugars. Beef also has added sodium so you have to read labels. Anything over 100mg of sodium per 4 oz can cause you problems. Plus, if you are cooking this meat then that could be a problem for your dog. Cooking denatures the beneficial proteins. Raw meats will always be best for your dogs. Organs and meats will loosen stools and edible bone will will firm stools. Commercial dog foods many times have added salt and they all are full of carbs which for a dog is unnecessary and usually a source of problems. Your dog has adjusted to what you are feeding. You are adding stuff but you need a hefty adjustment period and you need to know what and why you feeding what you are feeding.

Some of them cannot tolerate rich fatty foods like beef or lamb. If he is OK on Wagg then keep him on it. You could once a week add a half tiny tin of sardines in sunflower oil (drained) so he gets the good oils.

My Greyhound is like that... the top of the range kibbles produce soft stool and stomach grumbles.

Iams Chicken and Rice doesn't and neither does the cheaper own brand Premium hypoallergineic Turkey and Rice I feed now.

Some dogs are also allergic to Wheat, so dog food with corn (maize), oats or potatoes can be better.

Others can't stand dairy products either. Just feed what suits him best.

Make sure he stays de-wormed well. Milbemax is a good one.

Have you spoke to your vet about this problem? If you are slowly switching his dog food over it's usually not a problem. When you feed him chicken, I would only feed him small amounts of something different, If he's eating too much to fast then he will throw up. He must like what you're putting down such as the chicken and minced beef and whatever else you have tried. But since he does have such a sensitive stomach, I would only feed him small portions.

Have you tried feeding him vegetables or fruit? If not try feeding him a tablespoon of green beans every day and see how he handles that and if you are wanting to switch his dog food, I would definitely get a dog food that is for sensitive stomachs for sure, just mix a small amount of the new dog food in his regular dog food and see how he handle it, switching sensitive stomach dogs over can be a long process and patience. My vet told me to feed my dogs pumpkin to my dogs when their stomachs get upset, said it soothes their digestive track. Not the pumpkin pie mix in the can, Just plain ole pumpkin in a can. My dogs love it and it works for them.

Only feed him a a couple of tablespoons a day though.

If things don't change for him I would for sure take him to the vet.

I'm a dog lover and have 2 labs, I wish you a lot of luck

Why are you disgruntled? Give him what suits him.

He doesn't necessarily have a weak stomach. Any dog will get an upset stomach, and possibly diarrhoea, if you suddenly change their diet. If you gradually change it, wean him onto a new food by adding a little to his regular feed and gradually increasing it and decreasing the old food then the chances are it won't upset him.

And are you offering cooked chicken, mince? Uncooked, especially chicken can be bad for any dog. Make sure it's well cooked.

The best food for a dog is a raw diet, the next best thing is Chappie dog food it is good for those with food intolerances. Switch the food over gradually over a few days. Most dogs will get an upset stomach if you try to switch straight away.

You should make an appointment with your vet. He could have an allergy, liver or gall bladder problem, not sure here. One of my Chihuahuas has to be on a prescription fish and potato dog food. If she eats anything else she gets bloody stools, diarrhea, vomiting among other things. It took several trial and error to find the right food. Good Luck!

I would just give him the Wagg dog food. For some reason he isn't digesting other foods. You can bring it up at your next vet visit but for now, just give him what you know he can eat.
