What kind of camera is best?
I have a love for photography. And until recently I could only afford the super cheap every-day digital cameras. I have a budget of $1000 to buy the best camera I can buy. I plan to use this to gain experience. Documenting every move and every memory possible. I will be doing photo shoots of many models to make up a profile. I will also be offering to do senior pictures, expecting pictures, baby pictures and any other kind of photo shoot available to me. What brand is the best but within price range and where do I find one?

If you are dead serious in getting into the craft, a dSLR would be best. All dSLR's are good, no matter what brand or model. They are all basically the same. The more expensive a dSLR is, the easier it is to get the picture if you know exactly what you are doing. The other way around, the cheaper you go, the more crippled the camera is. Either way, if you know what you're doing, you will get the same shot no matter what.
Here's one camera with features you can find only on more expensive cameras. It offers more for less cash.

In case you were wondering what really is the best, look up Hasselblad.

If you are serious about actually learning about the craft beyond your "extreme passion", you will need a camera with user adjustable settings, manual mode as well as shutter and aperture priority. If you want a digital camera, that means an advanced compact, a bridge camera, or a dSLR. Nikon, Canon, Sony, Olympus and Pentax all make fine cameras. I have a Canon Rebel T3 http://www.dzustore.com/eos-rebel-t3-ef-s-18-55mm-... I just started photography but I can already say that it is very user-friendly and take great photos.

Brand is less important than type. If trying to work 'professionally' you owe it to your 'customers' to use a serious camera. That can only be a DSLR. There are only 4 brands of good DSLR on the market today - Nikon, Sony, Canon, Pentax. Obviously you will totally forget Vivitar. Don't forget to allow for a tele zoom lens in what you spend.

Being a Canon guy that's all I recommend. David is correct about the t3i, it's an excellent camera. If you buy it you'll be able to afford a second lens. Right now the camera, new, is about $600.
