Can i change the locks is it legal?
My wife and i are separated, we live in Florida, the house we shared is in my mothers name, i still live there, she has ben gone since June, i was told that if the landlord wanted to change the locks she can, please help!!

Yea, you can change the locks. It's been 2 months, so there shouldn't be any reason for you wife to come into the house. If she does need to come into the house, she can call and ask. Or if it's a problem, you can have police there when she comes. But you don't need to give her unsupervised access.
It's been 2 months, or at least more then one month, so legally she has moved out.

So you rent a place but its in your mothers name? If that's right, tell your landlord and it shouldn't be a problem to change them,.

You can change the locks.
She can get a court order for you to allow her access to retrieve any belongings that she has there.
