    It depends what contract you sign. Lawyers will put their fees in your contact you sign to have them agree to represent you. Some lawyers require retainer fee others require that you don't win you don't pay while others require hourly rate. Most with injury cases they will have a percentage of what you are awarded. Sometimes that is 3% others is 5% and other is 15% and all depends on your lawyer again.

    I can't speak for PA but in my state, California, it's 12%
