Bleach and cat urine both contain ammonia. Cats find the scent interesting because they want to identify where (or who) it comes from.

    Cats are very enigmatic :)

Your cat is not the only one! There are lots of discussions about this behavior in cat forums - cats drinking out of swimming pools, rubbing against swim wear that has been in touch with chlorides.

Mine likes to smell and rub on tomatoes, plastic bags and goes crazy over Valerian herbal drops. Cats have a very refined sense for smells. Humans have around 5-20 million olfactory cells and your cat has anywhere between 60-65 million olfactory cells. This means that whatever you perceive as the typical bleach smell, is something different in your cats brain.

But the most important reason is that your cat carries a complete "chemical analysis lab" around - the Jacobson's organ which enables her to separate non-volatile chemicals for analysis. Cats use this to smell pheromones (procreation) and to hunt. She is probably smelling other chemical ingredients. Use more water to dilute the bleach or start using lemon juice with water to clean (cheaper and environmentally friendlier)

I genuinely think your cat is trying to get a buzz off of bleach lol

the cats perceive a lot more strong the smell of anything, the bleach has clorures that become toxics.

That's a new one on me. When I was a kid we did have one who would try to drink tea, unsuccessfully I might add!
