L200 , starts on the key - as soon as you let the key back the engine stops?
Hold the key on the starter the engine will run but on full throtel. Do that a few times and will sometimes run fine. Any one any idea?

It could mean the throttle body is jammed open, or the engine is running on oil, if its a diesel. This is called a runaway engine and can cause serious damage to the engine.
Could be a broken wire that cuts off the signal to the injectors when the key is released, get a computer diagnostic and that may sort it out
