Is 190,000 miles a lot for a 2001 Honda Civic EX?

School starts real soon, and I need a car. I found a 2001 Honda Civic EX, and it has 190,000 miles on it. Is that too much? I know people say Honda's go and go. Also, I know a cars life span depends on how well you take care of it. On the side note, my mom had a Buick Regal that went well over 500,000 miles and a friend of mine has a Pontiac Grand Prix with over 325,000 and it's still running.

That's too many miles for any car & it's more than 10 years old.

If you can't check out the engine, and all the working parts you should take it to a trusted mechanic. Even if it cost you a few dollars or more and he finds a big fault in the car it would save you a lot of

    grief.
