what is the safest way of sending cash to someone in england from ireland (not digitally)?

i am living and working in ireland just from the summer and i am getting paid cash. as there is no natwest banks in ireland i need to send money to a family member so they can transfer it so my bills can get paid. but i don't want to send cash in an envelope. is there a safer way? thanks xxxx

ps, i am going home to england in a month so i don't want to open an irish account xxxx

    Ulster Bank are part of the same banking group as Nat West (RBS) so you could try them...

    The only safe way to move actual cash from one country to another is by carrying it yourself. If that is not possible, send it Registered Post - which does guarantee you compensation if it doesn't arrive at the other end. Check the rules - there is usually a maximum amount they will cover, and there may be special rules about cash.

    My grandma sent cash in the post and it was stolen, send a cheque?

    Carry it over in hand luggage. Or, safer still, taped to your chest. Although that might raise eyebrows with the Customs people.
