Can i safely and effectively take 5mg melatonin with a PM Pain reliever?

I have a head ache and can't sleep... need to be up early for work.

    I would say, under normal circumstances, yes. In most people, this will not be a problem. Of course, it's impossible to predict for each individual because of biologic variation.

    It shouldn't be a big deal but if you are really worried called your OBGYN. Tylenol is on the accepted list for pregnant woman so it should be ok with PM too since you only took it this once but I would let your Dr know you took it. I took an Excedrin Migraine for a horrible Migraine one time during my first pregnancy and told my Dr and she said that medications like that shouldn't do any harm if only taking once or twice during the pregnancy but that she was glad I told her I took it and was honest. My OBGYN just stressed the NO Ibprophen at all during pregnancy and gave me a list of other OTC medicines not to take. Really most meds OTC are on the forbidden list unless approved by the OBGYN
