How Do You Feel About God?

Do you love Him? Or do you fear Him? Do you often feel guilty for failing to live up to His wishes? Do you find rationalizations to explain away failing God? When you pray, do you thank Him and praise Him or do you ask for things?

I feel that gods are imaginary constructs which ancient people invented to explain stuff they didn't understand.

I used to love him, I used to fear him and I used to devote a big chunk of my time praying to him because I always thought I was a pretty pathetic Christian. Back when I was a Christian I did these things. I'm an Agnostic now so the only feeling I have about God - if he exists - is that he is a man made thing that reaped on my fear and insecurities as a young person.

Feel free to dislike my opinion, but that is honestly how I feel about God. You asked me a question, and I simply answered it truthfully.

Yes I love him. It's more of a respect than a fear. He's like a father. He has the power to control our lives but he lets us make our own choices, helps us, forgives us.

Jesus is my hero :) i fear him because if I don't follow him I will go to hell. I often feel guilty because the holy spirt convicts me of my sins. I praise him because Jesus was brave enough to die for the world, jesus overcame the world.

we both love and fear him - just as he commands

Deu 10:12 And now what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul

He is merciful, a very present help in times of need.
