Trying to install Windows 7 on a Windows 8 Pre-installed computer?

I have been researching on how to do this, and I managed to easily boot with a Windows 7 disc that I have. However, I came across a problem when I tried installing Windows 7 to the Windows 8 partition of a drive. It couldn't install because the partition was apparently in a GPT partition style (I have no idea what that means). I also came across this website telling me to install Gparted (website: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/w... but I couldn't boot from the CD I made, even though I had correctly burned the iso file and changed the boot order in the "BIOS". I really don't know what to do right now, and since the first guide told me to format the partition, I did what the guy told me to do, but Windows 7 doesn't install still. Now I only have one road, which is to get past this problem and install Win7. Could someone please please help me? I would REALLYYY appreciate it!!! (I also might have questions, so could we email each other?) Thank you so much!!

Update:

I can also add pictures.

Update 2:

@Randi, It's too late, I already formatted the partition of the drive :( Unless if there's a way to "unformat" it, then it's not too late? But, I don't think that's possible.

@Brain, I don't want a Windows 7 skin, I want a Windows 7..

Update 3:

@Now I'm Outta Here, Could I contact you for more info? I don't really understand the first 3 things, but the last option doesn't work; I can't "repair" the computer..:(

to get rid of GPT is simple

    security erase the HDD

there are at least 3 - 4 methods depending on the system

a> security erase function built in to the HDD can be accessed by some BIOS but not all systems have it

b> security erase function using the Mfg. Tools

    - Seatools for seagate/maxtor etc.

    - WD Data lifeguard - Western Digital

    - etc.

get the tool that matches the Mfg. of the installed HDD

    c> DBAN

    Darik's Boot And Nuke

d> boot with the win 7 DVD and at the "Language" screen hold the "Shift" key and hit the F10 hot-key to open a command window.

(if Shift F10 doesn't work, you will have to go through "Repair my computer" to get to the command prompt)

    in the command prompt window

    start Diskpart

    type the following commands

(the commands are for a single HDD system)

    list disk

    select disk 0

    clean

    exit

proceed to attempt windows 7 installation

any of these options will wipe all partitioning information from the drive and allow win7 to partition it normally

the bigger issue you might have to deal with is drivers

unless the particular system you have has Mfg. supplied downgrade drivers

you will have a device manager full of yellow bangs that you can't fix

To be honest.. Hold out. Widows 8.1 is coming Oct. 18th and will bring back the Start button, but not menu, but will be a lot better then Windows 8 now. So don't go wiping that hard drive just yet. I like Windows 7 more then the next person but with 8.1, I may switch over to it, it is that good.
