What is one example of legal discrimination against women in the US today?
I have over 50 against men so, since women are the oppressed gender, this should be easy.
It has to detract from women - a negative way.
The pay gap is not one because it is illegal to pay someone less based on gender.
So far we have boy scouts (I believe there is a female equivalent) and rest rooms (I'll remind everyone that women can use the restroom of the opposite sex without criminal consequence, men can not - they would be arrested for invasion of privacy and peeping tom, which is actually an example of discrimination against men)......
No feminists on here yet? I keep getting told its women who have no rights.....where are you all!!?!
Women are not excluded from the constitution - that is total fabrication and you know it. Abortion is also legal in the US, but don't get me started on reproductive rights as you know fine well men have none and no say in the raising of their children - they are just ATMs to feminists.
Anna, none of what you have typed is anywhere in the US. Read the question. Feminism discriminates against men and your statistics are sourced by feminists to defend that agenda.
Read the question.
Additionally, Anna, your insults and hatred toward me for wanting equal rights for men in Western society undermines your position. Name calling and insults are not the characteristics of someone with a valid point.
Final update, Anna - you claim feminism is about equality for everyone, yet you support the draft only for men, support female staff in mens locker rooms and strip searching men in prisons (then complain about sexual assault) support genital mutilation against none consenting boys, ignore false rape accusations, label all men as rapists and spew misandry in your putrid bile of a post in response to a legitimate question that was asked - tell one time feminism fixed discrimination against men?

People like Ya Coffee try so hard to prove to themselves that women are oppressed. In reality, white women in America or any developed society are the most privileged people on earth.

No, the coverage isn't a failure. extreme high quality try, Adolf. Racism and discrimination exists everywhere, and consistently will. it won't be able to be legislated away, it could in undemanding terms be disregarded each and every time it will improve its idiotic head. specially circumstances that is even criminal, like Quebec's language regulations and prevalent custom. specially circumstances that is even criminal as long as that is reversed (in undemanding terms discriminates against white adult males), as a results of fact no count how tight the anti-discrimination regulation is there is often a loop hollow. Racism isn't allowed here, and it is not tolerated by using civilized human beings, even though it nevertheless happens. it is not a failure of legislations, it fairly is a failure of humanity.

In regards to your dislike to feminism and answer to “What are some feminist Activism Projects,” I would like to challenge your belief system of discrimination against males vs. females. First of all, "false rape claims" and "bogus sexual assault claims" exist just as often as the false claim to any crime ever committed. I am so sorry that men have to experience their poor privacy being violated in the locker rooms by female prison guards and reporters; while you are crying about this poor inequality, women will be experiencing this:
-1 in 3 women will experience sexual assault in their lives
-1 and 4 will experience domestic violence
-70% will experience sexual harassment at school and 83% in the workforce
-70% of pregnant teens experience sexual assault
-91% of rape victims are females
(Collected from Centers of Disease Control and Prevention)
Because many people view rape and violence against women in a similar manner as yourself (blaming female victims) only 61% of rapes are reported to police officers, and out of the 39% reported only 16% of offenders will end up in prison. So really their is no need to worry about the "false sexual assault claims" that are ruining men’s lives. Also according Bureau of Justice statistics, 85% of violence and rape is perpetuated by men. While both genders have both committed statuary rape their is absolutely no comparison in regards to the amount.
If you were slightly knowledgeable about equality and basic human rights violations, you could have mentioned this in regards to discrimination AGAINST women.......
-Women not having the rights to their own bodies in regard to abortion
-Preference for sons in majority countries that create discriminatory access to nutrition, healthcare, and education
-Forced marriage and pregnancy in majority countries
-Women undergoing vaginal examinations in certain religious fundamentalist countries in order to prove virginity in marriage
-Females forced into sex trade
-Acid burning and dowry rights
In majority of countries women are treated as property and second class citizens, they have virtually no human rights. But honestly I am so sorry about reporters being allowed to go in male locker rooms this is truly devastating..... (you are an idiot).
James I truly hope you become more educated on women's rights and feminism. While it may not affect you directly, some of these statistics could affect your mom, sister, girlfriend (doubtful you have one) or other women in your life; and if you are a misogynistic pig that disregards this retort, you are only hurting yourself. Women studies and feminism is about advancing the human rights and abolishing discrimination for EVERYONE!!!!
P.S. In “The Truth about Feminism” feminism is spelled with an “I” in between the “N” and the “S”.

The pay gap is not due to discrimination the theory is flawed.
But really I do not see very much negative discrimination in the US today against women.

Refusal to let them join the boy scouts. Putting just as many men's rooms as ladies rooms in public places even though the men have urinals and toilets.

I don't live in the USA so this is hard.
First and foremost the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) designed to guarantee equal rights for women in the constitution was NOT passed - this means in fact women do not have equal rights in the most important document and law in the land and that all laws are effected by it. Your 50 laws do not share nearly the gravity of this one law that basically excludes women from the constitution - it is like when a woman in Canada were not considered as a person under the law.
Laws against abortion that have no exclusion for rape and the women's health could lead to a woman's death - that's another - got any that would lead to death in men?
