Is there such a thing as travel disability insurance?

I'd like to buy travel disability coverage for a weekend road trip. Similar to the pay hundreds monthly general disability plans but just for a 3 - 4 day period of time. Does that exist?

I've never heard of such a product. It would not be a very viable product for an insurer to sell because those seeking such coverage would likely be engaging in hazardous activities and anticipating the very real possibility of injury that results in a disability. Those who were just out doing some sightseeing probably would not buy the coverage even if it was available. In the insurance business that is called adverse selection.

No. You can obtain coverage to cover emergency hospital and medical costs, but not long term or short term disability.
