Is a national guard or a reservists allowed to wear there ACUs to school?

I always see this one kid (we are seniors) and he went through basic training during his summer (split op) wearing his ACUs. I thought they weren't allowed to do that, so please correct me if I am wrong and tell me the regs?

(Army national guard)

I'm only wondering cause I THOUGHT you weren't allowed to wear your acu like that, I'm going to be active army, im already in the dep, so more knowledge is better haha!

Google AR 670-1. And make the correction on the spot. If its for JROTC for highschool. Maybe yes. Even if for JROTC they would have there own service patch on there left shoulder.

nope, he is not supposed to wear them to school

    they are for duty only

but it is also NOT your position to tell him either

if you want to do something about it, contact your local national guard unit and tell them, he is wearing his ACU's to school
