Are you pro-choice or pro-life?

Which is your stand, and why? I'm here to hear your opinion on abortion. I'm pro-choice btw. Detailed explanation is most welcomed.

I'm pro-choice, because I believe every woman has the right to choose what to do with her body, what is best for herself, and whether or not she wants to have a child. Honestly it just seems like common sense to me that the rights of the post-born outweigh the rights of the pre-born. Of course I don't enjoy the fact that abortions are sometimes necessary, but it doesn't make them less so. I get really annoyed watching all these political debates on abortion, especially when most of the people talking are men. It's really easy to be pro-life when getting pregnant will never in your life be an issue for you. And people who try to impose pro-life laws on everyone because of their religion annoy me just as much. It's fine to have your own beliefs and to have an opinion, but when you start trying to dictate how other people live, it's no longer just an opinion, and you're an asshole. I also kind of look around and wonder why all these people are pro-life anyway, when all those fetuses they're "taking a stand" for are just going to grow up to be another person that they more than likely won't give two sh*ts about.

Pro~life it is for me it is not my place to judge others for their choices on pro~choice. I know all the bad things that can happen to a person. But I have worked with kids all my life and many were pleasant surprises and they are very close and dear to me. I can't imagine them not being in my life because their parents decided to aboard. A fetus is still babies future men or women. I would never have an abortion even if i was raped I just couldn't do it. I know my love and faith would transform them into wonderful people. My kids mean the world to me they transformed my life into something far better. I realized I was a self centered greedy jerk until they came along. I didn't want a college education tell they came along. It isn't easy raising kids on my own after my divorce but I work my butt off to insure they have what they need without welfare so it can be done. There are to many people that want to just take the easy road well that road comes with lots of guilt and shame. I have various friends that feel horrible for making that choice and seeing their kids now they feel horrible that they decide to aboard because it wasn't the right time. In my life I want to carry myself with integrity so i don't have to carry guilt around and deal with the drama that comes from bad choice. I sleep like a baby at night living this way. I love life live and let live...

I am now pro-life and I now believe life begins at conception. I think society and most laws support this idea.

For instance, it is tragic when a woman is murdered, but the gasps are increased if the woman was pregnant. The person who murders a pregnant woman will often be given a longer sentence. Why? If the fetus is a non-life form until birth why are people punished for killing it (but the mother is not?). The Cleveland psycho was punished for murder of an unborn.

The reality is no one, not even science, can say when life begins. Is it a conception? at brain activity? at birth?

I found out my mother tried to abort me in 1966. My aunt told me my mother was raped and she either changed her mind or could not find a doctor, but that my mother did try. The irony is that of my mother's 3 children I was the only one who never left her side and was with her until the end. My two sisters hardly ever talked with her. All children are a burden and my mother was a single mother. I believe my life has made this world a better place and I am thankful for it.

Pro-choice. It would be nice if everyone was responsible, rape never happened or birth control never failed, but until then, I'd rather not have people bringing children into the world that they have no means or intention of taking care of.

    Pro choice.

a human is not a human until there is a heart beat or brain activity. which is why then people are on life support they take them off when there is no brain activity because that person is a vegetable

so if it is aborted before those two its not yet murder in my eyes

plus people have the right to their body and their own choices for it

Pro-life. I feel like the unborn baby has a right to live, its not it's fault it was conceived. If the girl was raped then my opinion is more uncertain... because I can't imagine being raped and then having that person's baby... just uggh.... Istill lean toward pro-life though. But anyway, snuffing out so much life and potential seems like a terrible and selfish thing to do. BESIDES the whole rape subject, people need to own up to their actions and take responsibility rather than killing what could have been a really awesome person.

In my mind I'm pro-choice, in my heart I'm pro-life. Pretty gay yeah, but just thinking about the potential person that clump of sperm and egg cells could turn out to be, hurts my soul. No judgement on the pro-choicers though, I don't know whether or not that clump of eggs and sperm cells is alive or what.

    Choice.

Why? Because women get raped. Rape is one of the hardest crimes to prove so even if we legalized it only in the cases of rape, most women who are raped would be forced to have those children anyway.

Also, it's going to happen no matter what the law says so we might as well just make it safe for everyone involved.

    Neither.

I'm pro-death. I think abortions should be compulsory.
