Because sex causes rapid breathing and an accelerated heart rate, and is physiologically congruent with actually running. If you have good sex, especially if it goes on for a long time, it can take a lot out of you.

Caused you f***ed her so well that she ran out of energy and needed to breathe to try to calm her heart down... She also could have to catch her breathe because she was so amazed at your f***ing skillz!
