My hair takes too long to dry?
I have pretty long hair (until about my waist, not my hips) it's curly and whenever I take a shower (I usually air dry it) and it takes literally a day to dry. When I try blow drying it, it takes an hour or so if I need to dry it completely, (but I don't like blow drying it because since it's curly and thick, it gets really poofy and thicker and frizzy that's why I usually tie it into a braid, spray some hairspray on it and let it dry for the day, but now I need to wash my hair and it needs to be dry for tomorrow morning. What do I do?

My hair is very thick, very long, when it was permed down to my waist, I take care of my hair then, the same way I do now. Only different, I use gel, scrunch, finger comb, but the drying technique the length of hair drying is the same, leaving only 85% DRIED air-drying the rest, putting your head down, shaking your hair, scrunching finger combing INSTEAD of hair brushing . . . And instead of 90% dried (when it is naturally straight). In the morning, instead of washing your hair again, spray with water, finger comb, done! Or wear a Fedora hat, when you get to school, wet your fingers, scrunch, finger comb, DONE!
I take a shower everyday, but I don't wash my hair everyday, I put my hair up so they don’t get wet, so NO I don't dry my hair every time I take a shower.
When I wash my hair, I use two towels to dry my hair, even the back of each towel. Then, I air-dry my hair. While it's air-drying, I get dressed, have breakfast, get online, clean the bathroom, or whatever, then I blow dry my hair for 5 mins. concentrating @ the roots. THEN I brush my hair smooth, or style it if I'm going out of my house.
If you're drying your hair more than 5 mins. you're not only stressing your hair but your hair dryer as well.
I also have straight hair. It's different if my hair was curly & permed. No matter, I still blow dry my hair for 5 mins. 2 mins. in the summer.

Okay, once you get out of the shower flip your hair upside down and put a towel over it and dry your hair to soak up the excess water. If its summer where you are to outside and shake it out to dry and spend sometime outside in the sun. Then blow dry.

Before you come out of the shower, squeeze your hair and let as much water drip out of it as possible. Then towel dry your hair, wrap the towel around your hair and dry it until most of the water is gone, then comb your hair again, then blow dry it, then comb It again.
