Is There Something Wrong With My MacBook Screen?

My macbook's screen seems to be going very far back. It seems as though it has always been that my screen would reach about a 110 degree angle and then I couldn't push it back any farther, but now it goes down to like 155 degrees. It feels quite loose after where it used to go, and there is occasionally a cracking sound when pushing it past that point. When I first noticed this i freaked out and checked to make sure everything worked, so i checked everything, restarted, put to sleep, shut down, everything i could think of, and it seems to be working fine, the color of the monitor looks the same except it goes back really far. Should i do anything other that be gentle?
