Homosexuals...are you violently opposed to the idea that your orientation may be a result of...?
environmental causes rather than genetic? If so, why? Would you be open to changing your view if a reputable study indicated it is environmental? If so, check out the link; http://www.hollanddavis.com/?p=3647
@mass effect..well you have be stumped. The question was directed at those who are homosexual. I'm not saying that sums up your identities, but I am saying that I'm addressing all those as to whom this one trait is true of. "Homosexuals" is not a pejorative term. If I start out a question by saying "Christians" I doubt Christians would be offended, or "atheists", I doubt atheists would be offended. One might interpret you have a sense of shame about your homosexuality.
@HS, thanks for reading the article and a thoughtful answer. I must admit, I sort of took the article and ran with it. I didn't realize it was on a religious site. I'll check it out further. I would say, though, even if it was, that shouldn't automatically invalidate it, but it is something to factor in.
@Veggie..I found that particular part very surprising as well. I'll check out your links.
@Narathzul..I really don't know if the article is reputable or not. I read it and it got me thinking on the subject and wondering how homosexuals might react if there was a hypothetically reputable article showing this. I just put a link to the article because i thought it was interesting and I wanted people's take on it. I admit. I was lazy. You say its not reputable, you may well be right. That being said, I see how I gave the impression I was insinuating said article was reputable.

I'm not violently opposed to it. I don't think it really changes anything. I'm skeptical though, and find it hard to believe.
"Identical twins have the same genes or DNA. They are nurtured in equal prenatal conditions. If homosexuality is caused by genetics or prenatal conditions and one twin is gay, the co-twin should also be gay"
This article is so weak. Science is more complex than the article is making it out to be. And besides, it's posted on some religious website, so DUH, of course they don't believe it's genetic. You can't really make a judgement based on a website with an obvious bias.

Reputable source? Excuse me but is that what you'd call a reputable source? That page has a tab with sermons on it. To me it looks nothing like a reputable source.
The best predictor that you'll be gay that we know of is having an identical twin who's gay. Yes it's not a 100% prediction rate. But the article you link to conveniently forgets to mention that it's the absolute best predictor ever discovered. Reputable source?
And look here at this study which claims epigenetics causes homosexuality:

This would imply gays indeed are born gay.

That article is making the assumption that just because it's not genetic, means it's a choice. That's not true. Most gay people don't claim for it be have caused by genetics. They simply say they were born that way. Who's to say one twin couldnt have been born gay while the other wasnt?

I found a quote in your "respectable" journal that disproves it
Numbers of people who have changed towards exclusive heterosexuality are greater than current numbers of bisexuals and homosexuals combined. In other words,
" ex-gays outnumber actual gays."
I know for and absolute fact this is untrue

It's been pretty much proven by now that it's due to conditions in the womb, not genetics or your environment growing up. Just accept it. Oh and by the way, coming here and addressing us as "homosexuals" as though that's our collective name is not gonna make us like you.
