Durian fruit. It stinks!
Good luck finding one in the States. They do carry them in some Asian markets, but hard to find in the Pacific Northwest. I have not seen them in the local Asian markets. If they did have them, they may have been secretly buried under very cold and protective cover. They do not transport or keep too well. Most cargo and public transportation will not allow it on ships, planes and boats as the smell permeates whatever it comes in contact with. I tried it in the late 80's at a festival of four Asian cultures. It reeked!!!! You could smell it before you could see it or ask what it was. The taste was a bit sweet and different, but the smell killed the desire to eat more than a bite. UGH! To each their own.

Grapefruit or dragon fruit.
Grapefruit has an incredibly nasty aftertaste and dragon fruit, despite its name and appearance, is incredibly plain

I LOVE all fruits, I just can't eat avocados, they have no taste. Don't care if they are healthy.
