If you're trans, when are you gay?

If a FtM transgender or transsexual is sexually attracted to men, then he is gay. The gender is what's important in deciding sexuality, unless a person chooses to label their own sexuality based on sex for whatever reason.

@Clones - I believe the asker was referring to sex when they said "girl turned man", not gender.

The asker was also using "when" in terms of "under which circumstances", not "during what times".

Semantically I must point out that a girl can't turn man, and that a trans male always had a male brain but appeared to be a girl at birth.

But you guess correctly. I'm a bisexual trans female and my attraction to women is a gay one while my attraction to men is a straight one. I guess what I feel toward genderqueer people is just plain old attraction.

I never could start a relationship back when I was role playing as a guy. It was just way too fake.

Sexuality ( gay,straight etc ) in society is seen as based on your gender. So if you identify as a guy and you like guys, you're gay. So if a trans guy likes guys, he is considered gay.

If a trans man likes only men he is gay since he is a man.

Neither assumption is correct, and porn certainly won't prove so.

There is no correlation between being gay and feeling your identity is your opposite gender. You use a might big word "IF" which suggests you need to do more research on the why of all of it.
