Bush's reasons for going into Iraq were many and varied, there was always a strong personal vendetta between the Bush family and Saddam, over the years he took out several contracts on their lives, sent Bush Sr. threatening letters, and even threatened to have the Bush daughters kidnapped. Add in the fact that he was sitting on lots of oil and had lots of enemies in his own nation and it's pretty clear that Bush was going to go after Iraq at some point.

Obama on the other hand doesn't seem to be thinking anything through, Syria is a pretty pointless target, Assad hasn't bothered anyone and he's protected Syrian Christians and Jews every time the radicals in his nation demanded their heads. If we want to be ruthless and greedy Syria still doesn't have anything for us, they're already selling their oil to the EU through western oil companies and they don't have any other natural resources in abundance... it's almost like Obama just threw a dart at a map and said "THERE! INVADE THERE!"

Obama is using exactly the same script Clinton/Gore did 20 years ago for Saddam's WMD.

Like Clinton, liberals will solemnly nod in agreement.

Until a Republican joins in. Then suddenly all the Democrats will deny saying anything, and they will blame it on the Republican.
