Can I remove or hide the ads in Yahoo! Mail? - http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN...

You could upgrade to Yahoo Mail Plus. Since you're paying for the service there are no ads.

What is Yahoo! Mail Plus and how much does it cost? - http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN...

Make sure that you change your ad settings by putting your cursor on the gear icon and then clicking on "About our ads".

Susan W - Have you put your proposal for Yahoo to offer Yahoo Classic as a paid option on the Yahoo Customer Feedback page - http://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/210695 or the Suggestions page - http://suggestions.yahoo.com/?prop=answers&categor... ? You'll need to outline the benefits to Yahoo and how much you'd be willing to pay to use Yahoo Classic.

    Hi, Paul,

When Yahoo did the big upgrade, everyone had to agree to the new Terms of Service - which said, among other things, that they would be scanning (my words) your emails for content so that they could send the information to "appropriate" advertisers.

The upgrade has caused this. There is an area where you can select to block ads. I am not using the upgrade, so I do not know its placement, but have heard from other askers, that the ad block does not work.

Yahoo is working to make the upgrade better - I do not know why they will not just bring Classic back as a paid email service , just the way it was before July 9th, and we could then make a choice.

You might try asking again in the box just below the green area above us "Search Yahoo Answers", which will show what has been asked and answered before.

    Good luck
