Why is my dog crying?
He just lets out a random cry now and a then and hes worrying me. Should i take him to the vet? He has knots and mats in his hair so should i take him to a groomer. Could this be the source of his random whimpers? What do you think?

yes the knots and matting can tear the dogs skin and make sores. i would take some scissors and cut of the worst of the knots. then take him to the groomer.

Start gently picking the knots out, cut the ones that are too short or tight and I bet you will find the source of the problem (and you'll be your dog's hero). Use a little hair conditioner to loosen the knots if necessary.
This is what being an owner means, you have a responsibility to do what it takes when called on. Put the game or tv aside and turn up the lights and fix your dog!

Yes to both questions. If for nothing else, it'd get a checkup and be clean and comfortable. And if there is something wrong, it might be fixable.
