Extremely nervous for this rugby game...?
Guys...I have no clue what the HELL is happening right now. I've never, ever felt this nervous before a rugby match. I play Fullback, and I usually THRIVE under pressure man...but now I can't even think right. I tried practicing a bit on catching and tackling today but I can't seem to do anything. God im super nervous! Maybe its because I just joined a new team where I don't know anyone? Oh boy, I feel bad. We have a rugby game tomorrow night, and I've never had this feeling before. Its like Im playing my first ever match....I'm usually the guy who can handle all kinds of pressure but right now im feeling feeble as hell...
What do i do to make this crap feeling go away! Yikes......? >.<

Don't sweat it. Nerves are your bodies natural reaction to having to face challenges and are caused by a build of adrenaline (I think). I've often heard it said that you should only worry if you don't get nervous. Its natural to get nervous before any game - there were guys on our team who often threw up before every game, even the easy ones - and especially big games. Put the energy to good use by practising, the more the better as practice makes perfect, and thinking about your game. Come kick off you'll be fine. Just remember that being nervous is perfectly natural. You'll be fine.

Take some deep breaths and try mediating for a bit. Reflect on your past rugby accomplishments and try not to dwell on the what-ifs. Remember that feeling when you first step on the field and realize there was no reason to be nervous, you got this!
That's how I felt during track and lacrosse, seemed to help me a ton!
