Ive never heard of it but someone told I would do that but I talked to a recruiter and he said I would do baisc the summer before my senior year and he knew the job I wanted to do. If your goal is active duty I would discourage trying to do basic this summer. If you do you will be stuck in the Reserves or National Guard until the active side decides to accept prior service applicants and you are eligible for the prior service option they have at the time. Active duty doesn't offer split-option and you have to wait until after graduation to attend training. If you still want to go that route you won't do OSUT, that option is doing your basic and AIT all at once. You would do the AIT portion after you graduate.
