RHH: Does anyone even really listen to hiphop?
it seems like most who post in here only listen to what they here on the radio, or see on TV. that isnt hiphop, its hardly even rap. face it, if your itunes library consists mainly of rap, you probably dont know anything about music. i dont care if you have "nas" in your library. nas listened to a ton of music outside of rap. truth is, most of you dont know a damn thing about music, or hiphop. open your minds, and ears, and listen. and except that all the rappers you listen to are complete garbage.

er...
I can assure you that most of the "regulars" who post here, no matter how poor their music taste is listen to a lot more than mainstream rap. Most of the non regulars are obsessed with that "conscious rap" stage of their life where they hate mainstream and religiously follow their favourite underground rapper.
but, if you want to know about me, then I will say that I recently downloaded my 9000th song, and I would guess that maybe 85% of my library is hip hop (btw I listen to considerably less than many of the users)
Tell me, what do YOU know about music? A bunch of opinions on what artists should and shouldn't be talking about in their songs?
P.S The most open minded music listeners here, listen to mainstream rap. The close minded ones listen to hopsin and immortal technique.

Yes, I listen to real hip hop. The trash that has been coming out for years is not hip hop. The Golden age remains on my playlist. WU

ha well I started out listening to classic rock and worked my way to hip-hop. truth is, you dont know a damn thing and ur opinion is worthless! who are u to judge other ppl based on their music? let them listen to what they want. You can either complain about it or contribute something useful to the site... right now its just a lot of complaining. move along son.

I think people still listen to it but it's starting to die because of some main stream hip hop
